For those who like to get away from it all and yet be near to local amenities the area around Airy Cottage in Kames has it all.. The nearby village of Tighnabruaich is well known for its RYA sailing school and also attracts visitors to its locally run painting courses and stunning coastal scenery.

The local golf course near Kames is within walking distance of the cottage. Fishing for trout is close at hand and a lovely sandy beach is only a short drive and a walk away. Should you wish to leave this un-spoilt area of Scotland and explore further afield, a short ferry trip takes you over to Tarbert and the Mull of Kintyre (an ideal day trip for lunch and a pint!).
